The Bear Claw (Cotyledon tomentosa) is a succulent with leaves that resemble bear claws. It blooms either orange, red or pink small flowers. This succulent is absolutely adorable and it’ll make a great addition to a sunny location in your home like a windowsill or a patio.
Light: Place the plant where it will receive around 6 -12 hours of bright light per day. This succulent can also handle direct sun and enjoys it. However, I advice to slowly introduce your bear’s claw to direct sun, placing it first where it can get morning or late afternoon direct sun for no more than 4 hours and slowly increase the time. If that is not an option, place it on a windowsill in your home where it will receive the most light throughout the day.
Temperature: 30-90 Fahrenheit.
Soil: Well-draining and airy potting soil like a succulent potting mix.
Water: During summer months, let top 2 inches of soil to dry out in between waterings. During winter months, let soil completely dry out in between waterings.
Pet Safe: Yes.
