Product Description
A Beautiful, Easy-Care Trailing Houseplant
Philodendron Brasil (Philodendron hederaceum ‘Brasil’) is one of the most popular indoor plants thanks to its vibrant variegated foliage and forgiving nature. Its cascading vines feature heart-shaped leaves streaked with bright green and golden-yellow, making it a beautiful addition to homes, offices, apartments, and plant collections of every size.
Whether you allow it to trail naturally from a shelf or train it to climb a moss pole, Philodendron Brasil is an adaptable houseplant that grows beautifully with proper care.
What You’ll Receive
• One healthy Philodendron Brasil in a 4-inch nursery pot
• Fully rooted and shipped in soil
• Carefully selected from the current greenhouse batch shown in our listing photos and video
Because plants are living organisms, each one will naturally vary slightly in size, fullness, and variegation.
Why We Ship Rooted in Soil
Many online plant sellers ship bare root.
We ship every Philodendron Brasil rooted in its nursery pot to help:
• Reduce transplant shock
• Protect established roots
• Minimize stress during shipping
• Allow your plant to acclimate more quickly once it arrives
This gives your plant the best opportunity to settle into its new environment without the added stress of immediate repotting.
Care Guide
Light
Provide bright, indirect light for the best growth and vibrant variegation. While Philodendron Brasil tolerates medium light, brighter conditions help maintain its colorful foliage.
Water
Allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Avoid allowing the potting mix to remain consistently wet.
Soil
Use a chunky, well-draining houseplant mix containing ingredients such as perlite, orchid bark, or coco coir to improve drainage and root health.
Humidity
Enjoys moderate to higher humidity but adapts well to average household conditions.
Temperature
Ideal growing temperatures range from 65–85°F.
Protect from temperatures below 50°F.
Pet Safety
⚠️ Not pet safe.
Philodendron Brasil contains calcium oxalate crystals and should be kept out of reach of pets and small children.
Mature Growth
With proper care, Philodendron Brasil develops long cascading vines that can reach several feet in length indoors.
It can also be trained to climb a moss pole, where mature growth often produces larger leaves over time.
Shipping Information
