Satin Pothos ‘Exotica’ (Scindapsus pictus ‘Exotica’) is a tropical trailing houseplant known for its large, velvety green leaves covered in striking silver variegation. Easy to grow and adaptable indoors, this beautiful Scindapsus can trail from shelves and hanging planters or climb a moss pole or trellis.

Although commonly called Satin Pothos, Scindapsus pictus is actually a Scindapsus rather than a true pothos.

What You’ll Receive

• One healthy Satin Pothos ‘Exotica’ in a 4-inch nursery pot

• Fully rooted and shipped in soil

• Carefully selected for health, fullness, and proper moisture before shipping

Plants are selected from the current batch shown in the product photos and video.

Because every plant is a living organism, natural variations in size, fullness, leaf pattern, and silver variegation are normal.

Why We Ship Rooted in Soil

We ship our plants rooted in their nursery pots rather than bare root whenever possible.

Keeping established roots in soil helps:

• Reduce transplant shock

• Protect the root system during shipping

• Minimize additional stress during acclimation

When your Satin Pothos arrives, it can focus on adjusting to its new environment rather than recovering from immediate repotting.

Satin Pothos ‘Exotica’ Care

Light:

Bright indirect light is ideal for healthy growth and beautiful silver variegation.

Satin Pothos can tolerate lower-light conditions, although growth may become slower and less full. Avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sun.

Water:

Allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly.

Avoid keeping the potting mix constantly wet, as consistently saturated soil can stress the roots.

Soil:

Use an airy, well-draining houseplant potting mix. Ingredients such as perlite and orchid bark can improve drainage and root aeration.

Humidity:

Prefers moderate humidity but generally adapts well to average indoor household conditions.

Temperature:

Ideal growing temperatures are approximately 65–85°F.

Protect from cold temperatures and frost.

Pet Safety: Not pet safe.

Satin Pothos contains insoluble calcium oxalates and should be kept out of reach of cats, dogs, and small children.

Trailing or Climbing Growth

Satin Pothos ‘Exotica’ naturally develops long vines covered in large, silver-patterned leaves.

Allow the vines to cascade from a shelf or hanging planter for a beautiful trailing houseplant, or provide a moss pole or trellis and allow the plant to climb.

Carefully Packaged for Shipping

Every plant is carefully secured before shipping to help minimize movement during transit.

Depending on the plant and its size, we may use protective paper, support materials, or corrugated inserts for additional stability and protection.

Cold Weather Shipping

For orders traveling through freezing temperatures, we highly recommend adding a 96-hour heat pack.

Plants shipped through freezing conditions without appropriate cold-weather protection may experience cold damage.

Please Note

• Every plant is naturally unique.

• Size, fullness, leaf shape, and silver variegation may vary.

• Product photos and video show the current batch from which plants are selected.

• Plants are shipped fully rooted in soil.
